Terms of Use

These conditions govern each visit, search, and use of content on Hardin County Criminal History. Using the website confirms acceptance of all terms stated below. Anyone who does not agree must stop using it.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no connection to a local, Texas, or federal government body. It and its advertising partners do not offer a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) decisions. Its purpose is to identify public-record resources for Hardin County, Texas. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, independent of every government office. It does not store official criminal files, conduct official checks, retrieve records, or submit forms.

It identifies the Hardin County sheriff and clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety repository, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect readers with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against another person. The Texas Public Sex Offender Registry warns that misuse can lead to criminal prosecution or civil liability. Its data is for lawful safety awareness, never vigilante action or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

For a legally authorized purpose, use the proper Texas Department of Public Safety channel or a service that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Texas attorney can assess how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure law affects a specific person.

6. No Warranties

All services and content are supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders can change what is public. Delays and gaps are possible. Site content is never an official statement from a sheriff, clerk, court, DPS, or other government body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff, court, state-agency, legal-aid, or commercial search services. Those destinations operate outside our control. Their availability, content, fees, and data practices are their responsibility, so review the destination's own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Hardin County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, distributing, modifying, or adapting that material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the broadest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for loss or damage tied to use of this site, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or actions caused by your site use or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms, including applicable provisions of Business and Commerce Code Chapter 17. A dispute arising from use of the site must be filed in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when the new text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue. The affected provision will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.
